I am not worth of love

Leave me behind, do not stay,
I was never meant to walk your way.
I break what’s given, wound what stays,
Turning soft hearts into hollow graves.
I do not know how love is kept,
How bonds are built, how trust is left.
Emotions knock, yet I stand still,
A lifeless form with a frozen will.
I offer nothing but empty lines,
A restless soul, lost in time.
No warmth to give, no truth to hold,
Just vacant echoes growing cold.
They say I lack the heart to feel,
That nothing in me beats sincere.
Perhaps they’re right, perhaps it’s true,
For every hand, I bid adieu.
So keep your distance, don’t look back,
My path is dark, my world is black.
I walk alone where silence waits,
Bound to the weight of my own mistakes.
For love and trust are not my right,
A fate I lost, a vanished light.
I am not worthy, nor will I be,
Love is not meant for someone like me.
