21. Life
Life
Floods ravage their lands
With unceasing alacrity
Droughts visit them
With breached patches
Starvation is a certainty
As heavy toll is taken
Whenever cruel agents of
Nature routs the routes
An overpowering phenomenal
Thirst keeps the life going on
As in the disheveled ocean
A lonely raft
Struggles to afloat
On the crest of a wave
In the fervent hope
When it subsides
The hopeless dead
Will come to life.
