She was the Mother – an ode to Mother Teresa
She was The Mother
who used to bother
about you,
and about me
and about those
who needed sympathy.
She was pure like a rose
and from the masses, arose
to give a helping hand
and to stretch her arms for the ailing
and the downtrodden band.
She prayed for the sins
of her children.
to her pioud words,
everybody would listen.
Oh Jesus! Oh Christ!
hear this daughter’s plight
She, our Mother, has left us
whislt we still are crying.
now there’s no one to wipe our tears
and help us to bear
this terrible loss.
For, Oh Lord!
She was The Mother.
