Untold
Walking in the park, a conversation that lingers a beat too long.
You’re a sight to behold, a melody that feels like a mournful song.
The feelings I hide, a secret buried within my heart.
I want you to be mine, but I’m scared our love’s a poisonous dart.
Will it all be fine? If I confess to you, my only star?
Will it all fade away? Our friendship turning into a scar?
Will I hold you in my arms? Dance around the night and sing you a song?
Will I lose your hand forever? Unbeknownst committing a sin so wrong.
So I seal my lips and shush my heart,
for our love it is a lonely art.
The crumpled letter dies in my hand,
The words untold fall in the sand.
Stealing glances of your lovely face,
A silent question lingers in its space.
With laughter shared and secrets kept,
Our bond a treasure we’ve adeptly swept.
A silent wish, behind the smile I hide,
A hope still flickers, someday the truth will abide.
