While working as an engineer at Yamaha Motors, Piyush shared his newfound talent with his friends, who were thrilled and actively supported his development. However, a serious accident in 2000 left him bedridden for nine months. Miraculously, he recovered, but in 2003, he spiralled into a state of depression, losing his job in the process. At this low point, a friend gifted him the Bhagavad Gita, which he saw as a divine blessing. Immersing himself in its teachings, Piyush experienced profound healing and transformation.
He was born on February 10, 1967, in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. From an early age, Piyush had a deep longing to do something extraordinary. Fortunately, a few friends recognised his creative potential and encouraged him to pursue his talents. In 1987, he embarked on a unique journey of writing in a backwards or mirror image form.
Starting with English capital letters, Piyush quickly found them too easy, leading him to challenge himself further by practising English small letters. Eager to explore his linguistic abilities, he even dedicated time to mastering his mother tongue, Hindi.
There is a certain point in our lives where we see miracles that change our lives. One such incident was this one for Piyush. During a Bhagavad Katha he attended at a nearby school, an idea sparked in his mind on the event’s final day. He decided to write the Bhagavad Gita in mirror-image form. Without sharing his plan, Piyush began the arduous task, pouring his heart into this unique endeavour. After 15 days, his wife discovered his secret project and offered her unwavering support.
He chose yellow-coloured pages to symbolise the auspiciousness of Lord Krishna’s Pitambar, and Piyush diligently wrote the Bhagavad Gita in mirror image form in both Hindi and English. Remarkably, within seven months, he accomplished this extraordinary feat. After mirroring this milestone, Piyush received a job offer from Sonipat, bringing a wave of newfound hope and joy.
After relocating to Sonipat, Piyush Goyal’s journey encountered a significant turning point. He frequently visited a Sai temple with his landlord, and it was there that people discovered his hidden talent. His story soon made its way into the Dainik Jagran newspaper, spreading like wildfire across the nation. News channels were quick to recognise his unique abilities and approached him for interviews, amplifying his talent for a wider audience.
During this period, Piyush received an offer from the Krishna Museum in Kurukshetra, where his incredible work received high praise.
However, an important question arose: who would read the mirror image of the Bhagavad Gita? Piyush responded with conviction, drawing a parallel to the legendary poet Valmiki. If Valmiki could write the Ramayana despite initially uttering “mara-mara” (dead, dead) instead of “Ram-Ram,” then surely people could read the mirror image of the Bhagavad Gita.
Nevertheless, this question lingered in Piyush’s mind. Driven by curiosity and armed with his research and knowledge, he wrote a book named Madhushala using a needle, a creation that could be written without the aid of a mirror. This endeavour showcased his versatility and adaptability in finding solutions to the challenges he faced.
