7. In Memoriam ( An Elegy )
When God did bless me a friend like you,
To the envy of others our friendship grew.
For all this I had been ever grateful to Him.
The rapport we shared was worth a whim.
One day to an unknown malady you fell.
Oh! Upon me, it appeared, broke all hell.
You did fight the curse as a lion brave.
But alas! My buddy! I lost you to grave.
O God! Why did You rob me of this bliss?
With tear-clouded eyes I will forever miss.
O bestie! The world minus you has shrunk.
In memoriam my heart is now deep sunk.
