“A Dance of Desires”
In a bygone era, adrift like a fractured leaf, I roamed,
My heart heavy with pain, in sorrow, I was atoned.
Even in the dark night, the stars were shining bright,
I stared hopelessly as the hurt kept me quiet.
I witnessed a shooting star, leaving my sky behind,
I heard the belief that they granted wishes, a hope in kind.
Without many thoughts, my soul screamed aloud,
“I want to go to a place where grief is disavowed.”
Later, I forgot that night and began to walk alone,
Patience gave me courage, and I crossed each stepping stone.
When and how happiness entered, I had no clue,
A rain of fulfilling dreams showered out of the blue.
A peacock inside my heart started to dance on its own,
Desires and wishes can come true; it was never known.”
