THE GREY GODDESS!

When all was happy and gay,
The shadow spread,
of Goddess Grey.
No lightening struck,
No clouds spread,
Still the sky was stark.

Below, on earth all was dark.
Silent , serene, sounds echoing.
Sounds echoing of,
The Shadow, that had spread,
its wings, its claws, holding the prey.

In a moment it flew, flew away.
Leaving behind its footprints,
Footprints of loss,
footprints of memories.
Memories lost, lost forever.

The Goddess Grey,
followed a rule,
as if the rule was Divine,
The goddess herself blind.
Blind towards difference.
She lay her hands on everyone
young or old
rich or poor.
Weaning them off their corporal existence,
She took all to a flight.
The Flight of Freedom.
