” SALUTE TO EVERYONE ON ARMY DAY “

It was a historical event in the Indian Army that our Lieutenant General K. M. Cariappa took over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India 15. Jan 1949. Since then we have celebrated ‘Army Day’. No doubt we didn’t fight only several wars against enemies but also got appreciation by helping /rescuing the people in danger of natural calamities. We launched several welfare programs like health, education, food, clothes, and rehabilitation in a remote areas. The army is always incomplete without two arms Air Force and the Navy. On this occasion of ‘Army Day’ I tender my regards to all Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, Non -Commissioned Officers, Jawans, and civilians who are doing their best for these organizations. I will not forget the contributions of Retired Personnel who strained their nerves to shape the ‘Modern Indian Army. I salute them on the auspicious moment -‘ JAI HIND ‘
