Killing thousands with tumbling towers
The Nation in disbelief was in horror
Could it happen to such a super power?
It was declared an attack on humanity
An open affront to the mighty empire
After all, it is the only super power
Against whom none dare conspire!

Uncle Sam, infuriated attacked Afghanistan
To crush and eliminate Taliban
Still, insatiate his ire knew no bounds
To hound out imaginary WMDs
Iraq is turned into burning grounds
Bush bushed and usurped all powers
To kill, to capture, detain at black site
To imprison/torture with all its mite
Changed creative meaning of rendition
To that secret and unlawful detention

5/7 happened in London
In buses and tubes
Bringing city to a grinding halt
Terror was writ large on every mast
In an urge for effective investigation
Some innocent fell to burly bullets
And some feared impending reprisals
Many were hauled beyond borders

7/10 happened in powerful Israel
Rockets in thousands pounded
Raising many buildings to earth
Terrorists entered homes and hearths
Massacred men,women and children
Cruelty was unheard in history
Innumerable taken as hostage
The hurt Nation flung into rage
Blood cuddled with cries of revenge
Action started alround to avenge
Example set to show to world
If one dares to attack like one
Be prepared to get annihilated.

26/11 happened in sleepy India
Killing and maiming hundreds
Many went missing and many orphaned
Some dead even could not be consigned
Mortuaries remained much haunted
But selling and celebrations were as usual
India, of course, is not communal.
