I was ready to say goodbye.
I was sinking deep far away in the ocean.
When a lost ship reached me in a silent motion.
The air was chilled to take away my survival instinct.
When the sailor’s voice echoed in my ears that our destiny might be linked.
I just surrendered myself to death and cut the last thread of hope.
Life dwindled me into a ghost that was not fit to cope.
The streaks of light overpowered the sky and the clouds started to cry.
My emotions reached high and I was ready to say goodbye.
The sailor wanted to be my savior, so he jumped in my way.
I was stunned by his behavior when he said it did not so delay.
“You can’t save me,” I reminded him, of his huge mistake.
“I can’t but we can,” he said with a smile that was not fake.
We held each other until the death storm passed.
Everything became mesmerizingly beautiful in the magic sun had cast.
I could clearly see the dock that was calling our names.
But I couldn’t distinguish between them because they started to sound the same.
