Dear Cupid,
Dear Cupid, might I ask,
Isn’t love supposedly your only task?
Do you miss your aim when it comes to mine?
Is my mail broken? Am I out of line?
Have I gone unseen? A name upon no list?
But love’s a thing I can’t resist.
A barren land, my heart is now,
Waiting on a love somehow.
Is it true that they call you blind?
Or is my love nowhere to find?
Is my address lost amongst the stars?
Can’t you see all of my lonely scars?
Each day I gather fallen rose,
Counting on your empty vows.
Oh dear Cupid, with your playful art,
Set me free from this loveless chart.
I yearn to feel the love, a plea,
A soulmate’s touch, eternally.
Though shadows linger, hope remains a spark,
Love’s melody will find its mark.
