"The Weight of Sorry!"

A word so small, yet heavy to bear,
It speaks of the heart, if truth is there.
When born from the soul, it opens the door,
To heal what was hurt, to hurt no more.

But uttered in haste, with no wrong done,
It shadows the self, and weighs like a ton.
For the fault was not yours, yet you bowed low,
And gave away a part you should never let go.

So guard this word, let it ring true,
Let it be a bridge, not a wound for you.
For a sorry that’s honest can set you free,
But a hollow one steals your dignity.
