"Love Still Runs in My Veins"

The vast green meadow and the pouring rain,
I lay there, replaying your silent goodbye again.
The wild breeze urged me to leave its domain,
When your fragrance kissed my soul with all it’s love again.
The world is suffocating, drowning me in pain,
Tiredness has peaked, and struggles I can no longer sustain.
You were the only ears to whom I shared my complaints,
But without you, every heaviness is stuck in my brain.
Whenever it hurts, I run to you, down memory lane,
A comfort zone, an escape route, where I often find myself again.
The darkness in my consciousness feels like a brutal chain,
Where hallucinations give me hope—am I insane?
A droplet touched my tears, as if you were wiping each complaint,
Wrapping me in your imaginary hug—yes, love still runs in my veins.
