Rich Poor ~ Ravikesh Jha

Mantra concentrates the mind but the mind remains, meditation transforms the mind into soul, we need to focus completely on meditation, we need to give importance to awareness. mantra will take you from body to mind, will provide stability for some time but not complete peace, peace will be achieved only after transformation from mind to soul. but we are in a hurry and we are believers, so we believe anything, faith helps in keeping us away from intelligence and limits us to the subconscious mind. when we open our eyes, anger and hatred start appearing, In such a situation, if we are not afflicted by lust, then what else would we be? we have no other choice, it becomes our duty to accept it, which many people even consider as our nature. The fight starts only on the basis of belief, someone is believing one thing, someone is believing something else, some are believing in religion, someone is believing in non-existence of God, someone is believing in atheism, everything or the other. Anger and violence starts only when we believe, we are not curious to know, believing is a borrowed thing, someone says it and we will not search it ourselves, or if he has said it then he must have spoken the truth. we do not wish to search; intelligence is needed to search, but we are eager to accept borrowed knowledge, especially in religion. Whoever believes in one religion will hate the other, may not say it on the face, but will do it in his mind. Some people are curious to know, they like some ideas, they start loving all religions so that people feel happy, but something else keeps going on in their mind.

That is the wish that people should understand my religion well, people should include me among the good people, people should not hate me, all these wishes are included, the wish of compassion goes along with it. No one can remain selfless, without meditation and without awareness we will commit mistakes but we are not ready to accept it but this is the truth. We do not have to accept our own mistakes, if we had accepted ourselves then we would have been something else, we would have been completely happy, but due to hurry we keep making mistakes. Some are believing the lie, some are believing the truth, both are stuck in the mind, if we consider the body to be everything then what will happen in our life, what will we become, just a parrot or an angry person. The parrot’s job is to repeat, the body’s work is anger, hatred, lust, indulgence, jealousy, competition, that’s all. Some people go beyond the body but get stuck in the mind. The body becomes calm for a while but the mind keeps going on. After reading some thoughts we pretend to be silent but after a short while, the trouble starts increasing through other parts of the mind and we become complicated. The work of meditation is to unite the scattered, to become one, to create simplicity, peace, love, kindness, compassion, non-violence, all this is done through meditation. But in a hurry, i.e. because of lust, we start running for instant happiness and we keep getting caught in sometimes happiness and sometimes sadness. Sometimes we convince our mind, sometimes we compromise, sometimes when we feel angry, we become furious or filled with hatred.

What do we do? We don’t even want to destroy the illusion, we want God but don’t want to meditate, don’t gather courage, then what will happen, we will only get violence and physical things, apart from physical happiness, we do not get anything else in our life because we all give priority to the body only and in the end we die as a body only. We only see the body, sometimes anger, sometimes violence, sometimes compassion, sometimes love, sometimes sex, this is all we do. And some intellectual people use other senses, especially eyes, when they see something they want to know the reason and emphasize on why. It begins with why and ends with a belief, they know it, or rather assume that the reason is known, Let us find out the reason because they emphasize on the why i.e. the root; the matter-energy is discovered but the beauty is lost. Firstly they assume that I have found out, I have discovered it but they are unable to find out about the discoverer and are limited only to the eyes. Intelligence opens the eyes but turns us into stone, it also believes in it but after knowing, it gives names to some formulas, names some substances, searches for energy inside and looks at the molecules. But he loses the beauty just like a scientist will dissect the rose according to his own understanding and will know everything but will lose a beautiful flower, or beautiful girl, or anything’s. That is why we give more importance to fools because they get happy easily whereas the rich i.e. the intelligent ones remain in the future because of the future.

They think that now they are going to get happiness but when they get physical happiness then they move towards a new search or new happiness. That is why I say that the joy should be of the journey and not of the destination, because upon reaching the destination, a new destination will begin and then one will have to come on the path again. The rich do the same thing, they lose the present, they live only for tomorrow, they live for their destination, then they get nothing, He doesn’t sleep properly, doesn’t eat properly, he just lives in the future, He doesn’t even laugh properly, Poor people think that the rich are happier, no sir, the rich live in the future, it is the opposite here, The poor are happier than the rich; they are happy over small things; they work the whole day and then rest after getting tired. But the rich man is stressed about how it will happen, when it will happen, when will it happen, he spends all his time with money but his mind is at night too, That’s why rich people live in the future, just rich people worry more. But ultimately both live on beliefs; one believes in himself and the poor accept the path shown by the other as borrowed knowledge, the intelligent ones do a little research and then accept some things as borrowed. How much will you know about things, how many places will you look, how much will you study, that is why we borrow some things, that is, we accept the words of others.

The mind also starts supporting either violence or non-violence or anger or compassion, or god or devil, There are many parts of the mind, all of them are stuck, how can I say something wrong, how can I speak for suppression. Both are right in their place, both are stuck in body and mind, both poor and rich. Some choose the intellect, some choose the heart, and some reach meditation, meditation chooses them, Then he becomes poor and beyond the rich. Then he becomes a witness to both the rich and the poor but also goes beyond both. We will have to open the layers of both the subconscious that believes and the conscious that knows and look closely. Whatever we do, we just have to be witness to it, then we will neither be poor nor rich. We will join in perfection. We will become one. Then there will be no conflict inside, no tension, no violence, no jealousy or hatred. We will have to take the help of meditation, only meditation will connect us to concentration and then we will attain perfection. If we take recourse to meditation then we will become one and we will know the knower completely, And you can also see the believer. Only meditation will connect us from within, only meditation will unite us sir. The rich live in the mind, the poor in the heart and the meditative lives in the consciousness. He sees everything in the present. Whatever we think that is what we become, this is the truth, both victory and defeat are in our hands. If we move forward with the help of meditation then we will become something else, we will be better, we will be witnesses only.

We often make mistakes in our life, we start giving more importance to the rich, everyone lives in copy-paste, they are dishonest, liars, only then they accumulate wealth. The poor get caught in the cycle of sin and virtue; instead of thinking properly, they just run after things because of their beliefs and faith. The poor sees the rich happy and the rich sees the poor happy; both live in this belief. Beliefs pull us back from wisdom and concentration; we go in one direction, think one thing and become something else. We live more in the heart, that is to say, by holding on to meditation we can move up the ladder. Then we will all live with equal respect. From outside you may not have wealth, big name and reputation but from inside you are complete, you are Brahma. It is true that you are God, that is why instead of being afraid, it is better to live with awareness and be happy. We are the masters of joy, happiness depends on the other person, the choice is ours – joy or happiness, we are the owner of joy. But we are just happily aware of the external wealth, we don’t know anything about the inside yet. We may be poor externally but not internally, that is why I say that love is our nature, everything is ours, so share love with an open heart. When you will realize that you are everything, you are God, you are Brahma, then you will not have any interest in material things, you will just remain selfless and will start showing love and compassion. One may be rich or poor outside but not inside. For God all are equal. Wealth will remain here, emptiness will go with us, Brahma will remain with us. That is why we have to emphasize on meditation, mantra bhajan lightens the mind, the mind gets saved, we have to reach from the mind to the soul.

We have to move with attention and awareness and come into meditation.

Thank you for reading and listening so attentively.
