Chapter-1
“It was like the silence before a storm…Peaceful yet terrifying”
-Someone…
“I guess I gotta deal with this…Deal with this real world. Ay~”
The alarm rang as she quietly stared at her phone. The screen read,
“06:10 am”
with a little note beneath it.
“Good morning sunshine. ^^ You can do it <3 Proud of ya."
The alarm song was repeating itself for the nth time.
But all she did was stare blankly at the phone screen absorbing the beautiful yet painful melody in her head and heart. There was no energy left in her to even wake up from the bed. All she wanted was to fall into a deep slumber and never wake up again. She was too tired…tired of esxisting.
"Please give me a…a remedy, a melody…That could make my heart beat again~"
The alarm continued.
She took a deep breath in and finally sat up on the bed turning the alarm off. It was already 15 minutes past 6 o'clock. She ruffled her hair and sighed. No matter how much she wished for it all to end. It's still the truth that no magic will come to save her. It's once again another day and she HAS to do the daily routine and pretend like it's all ok even though it's not. There's no option.
There's a big cyclone whirling in her head all day long, a large rock on her back pushing her down, a big pool in her heart suffocating her out and a heavy chain on her legs and arms binding and holding her back.
She made her way towards the washroom. Standing in front of the mirror, she realised how much she has ruined herself. Eyes hooded, deprived of sleep. No ounce of emotions in them. The same doe eyes which once used to sparkle like the stars in the night sky and carried a whole universe of her own.
Dry lips showing how much water she had been giving to her body. The freshly made crimson wound sat on the corner of her upper lips. Messy and dirty hair. God knows when was the last time she had taken a shower. The baggy shirt she had been wearing for straight 4 days hid her chubby plump body with a large stomach. Oh how she wanted to smash the mirror in front of her. She hated the person in the mirror with all her heart. But she hated the mirror more as it always shoved the bitter truth she wants to forget right in front of her.
She turned the tap on and splashed the cold water on her face in an attempt to make her feel somethinng…something other than what she was already feeling. The numb, empty feeling was eating her from the inside. She slowly brushed her teeth and wore her school uniform, combed her hair and added some serum in an attempt to make 'em look better. She perfumed her coat in order to hide the odor coming from her unshowered shabby body.
Practicing a smile, she put on her facade and took her bag as she walked into her mother's room. Leaning down she kissed her mother's forehead.
"I'm leaving for school."
She said as she touched her feet and took her blessings.
Taking the key she ran out of the room.
"Bye mumma, I love you"
She gave her a reassuring smile and left her cheeks burning due to over stretching.
After sitting in the auto was when she realised that she again didn't drink water, forgot her ID Card, her diary and also half of her bag wasn't packed according the timetable. But who cares, what she was feeling was worse than any punishmentas or taunts the school will give her. She was already a ruined mess, what else can get worse now.
Staring at the trees passing by and thinking thousands of thoughts at once, she didn't even realise when she reached school, the place she despised the most…
To Be Continued…
Purely a work of fiction.
