Hallucination Of This Night
Whenever I speak to this deeply colored night sky,
The stillness embraces me without a judgmental eye.
I often find myself trapped in a dark room with my hands tied,
The inner me loses track of time, only the outer shell stands with pride.
I lose every sense of emotion, my heart becomes cold like ice,
A safe escape from the pain that chains me, it’s the minimum price.
I love this sleep but have always been kissed by only your voice,
The whispered ‘I love you’ echoed there, leaving me without a choice.
You don’t just embrace me but also my lost feelings that I’ve long denied,
Helping me put the shattered pieces together, wiping off the tears I’ve cried.
Even knowing I can’t touch or be held by you,
The vast darkness takes me there, where the view can be true.
The moon recited the promises once made and helplessness with its light,
The morning is approaching and it will break the hallucination of this night.
