A Hopeless Romantic
With rose-tinted glasses, I wander through life,
Searching for a love that cuts through the strife.
A fairytale romance, forbidden but true,
Secret rendezvous bathed in lantern’s warm hue.
Fireflies, our silent witnesses, their dance a soft gleam,
Whispering promises beneath a starlit dream.
In a world of our own, a utopia we’d weave,
Twirling ‘neath the moonlit sky, hearts alight, we believe.
Hazel eyes meet mine, a spark that ignites,
Euphoria’s embrace in these magical nights.
Parchment whispers penned in ink so fine,
Love letters like secrets, a forbidden line.
To pigeons and sparrows, our desires confide,
Hoping feathered messengers reach the other side.
A flustered heart’s rhythm, a hidden, stolen glance,
Love’s message unfolds in a secret, sweet romance.
Pressed to my chest, the words ignite a flame,
A love story whispered, forever the same.
Counting constellations, hand in trembling hand,
A silent symphony, a love we understand.
With fingers intertwined, a future we write,
Our love story unfolds, bathed in moonlit light.
They call me a dreamer, a hopeless romantic, they say,
Lost in a world of stories, where hearts forever play.
It’s true, I confess, I love in a realm of my mind,
A perfect escape, a solace I can always find.
Enchanting worlds bloom, beyond their narrow view,
I paint my emotions in poems, stories imbued.
With a yearning for something genuine and bright,
A love that transcends, a feeling both fierce and light.
But reality whispers, a truth I can’t ignore,
Finding such a love feels distant, evermore.
Yet, hope’s ember flickers, a flame I can’t deny,
For a love so ethereal, it would make my spirit fly.
A love that would paint my world in vibrant hues anew,
A love that’s a novel, with chapters waiting for us too.
I’ll keep searching, keep dreaming, with a heart that believes,
For in this hopeless romantic’s soul, true love achieves.
