Self Dialogue
Every human being is very lonely in his innermost being. Everyone usually avoids drowning in this layer of longing because realizing the truth of this loneliness is very frightening. Everyone adopts some kind of ‘escape route’ to avoid facing this truth of loneliness to constantly live among others and to engage in some kind of solitude like engaging in computer game playing , ,watching TV, mobile surfing etc.
In this modern world, it has become much easier to avoid ‘encounter’ with oneself as the infinite tools of extroversion like ‘internet’ and ‘social media’ are easily available. And it is a natural fact that the more we ‘avoid’ any ‘problem’, the more it grows inside us like a lump.
This personality in the bottom is our original existence.
Our present personality is the result of passage of time and ‘conditioning’ ourselves , and we are living as a foreign being different from our original personality.
Rather than running away from this lonely being in the mind , for fear of being confronted by it, communicating with it is the real cure for self-healing, transforming loneliness into unity.
There is a fundamental difference between solitude and loneliness. Solitude increases one’s self-confidence , and loneliness, on the contrary, decreases it. Concentrated interaction with oneself by keeping oneself awake and observing oneself as a third person is true strong self-communication.
When we are not talking to anyone else, or doing any other office work, we always feel like we are talking to oneself. In such cicumstances an empty space exists between ourself and oneself, and we tend to be engaged in an action-reactionary thought process which remains active even when we are at home, outdoor, , or relaxating on the bed, and while performing the rituals of the daily routine.
It is a reactionary thought inspired by various attitudes and movements.
Like a slave on duty, our conscience is constantly moving our mind in different thought processes according to it’s wishes.
There is never a mind that is completely ‘thoughtless’ or a conscience that is completely ’emotionless’.
Your level of concentration varies in the different interactions you have with other individuals / groups in a day. For example, the level of concentration is highest when you are speaker in a talk show and interacting with audience in the large gatherings. While teaching as a teacher or professor in the classroom, the level of concentration of interactions with small gatherings is slightly lower than the former. The level of concentration in all the important meetings in the office, and the briefings given to the subordinates, is even lower. This is even less likely to be while chatting with friends or talking to family members while eating.
The level of communication you have with your oneself is minimal because of the wandering thoughts that run through your head all day.
The closest and most important person in life is your oneself and you have the lowest level of integrated communication with him, this is a ‘paradox’ and this is how we usually do.
Therefore , solitude and awekened inner conscience are essential ingredients of Self Dialogue which helps in keeping us away from mentality of escapism ,and motivates to analyse our ” self ” as an independent third party. So that we are able introspect ourselves with awekened conscience and steer our life to roads of success and welfare.
