Reality of Mithila Maithili activities
Paag couldn’t be a cultural identity of mithila. It is only symbolic system for social discrimination. I.e upgrade your self only and put down another self on behalf of cast.
A brief intro:
No any others cast ( except Brahman & kayastha) will have used paag ( turbans) in mithila region.
Only maithil Brahman & kayastha used paag for symbolic identity on prosperous occasion.
They also don’t use paag always. This people are always create barriers for another cast to use paag.
Then how much possiblity will be a types of cultural identity?
