Challenge

Barren of emotion
Barren of thought
Shorn of light
With feeble life
Wish to fly
In the sky
Like a kite.

The bust of Kali
Beacons me to dance
To the tune of
Beating drum of Eternity
To destroy dull and dross
Ennui and infirmity

Am I strong
Venture to dance?
O,bestow with
Sense and strength
To stand and say
‘Yes’ to whatever challenge
Awaits my way.
